It technically did, just not in the way you think. Montenegro and Serbia were still combined as one country and called themselves "Yugoslavia." The country only changed its name to "Serbia and Montenegro" in 2003, and then Montenegro left in 2006.
No it was bombed when the Americans removed the Panamanian dictator in the US Invasion of Panama (Operation Just Cause). The Panama Canal opened in 1914.
I liked the quiz, but thought a little more guidance could have been provided in terms of seeking "former" countries. A simple one-liner noting that you are looking for the name of the country as it existed at the time of bombing would have been great.
Can you add DR as a type in for Dominican Republic? It is an official JetPunk type in... I tried DR, it didnt accept, so though the DR was not on the list. Then iI saw it was on the lst lol...
Not sure how you're calculating it, but I count 29 countries there; a third would be about 70. Also I think each case needs looked at on its own merits. NATO intervention in Bosnia was in response to the atrocities there, and I'd support the U.N. action in Kuwait.
Lacking description of methodology: 1. Peacekeeping mission counter in or out? 2. Minor drone strikes from bases abroad counted in or out? (Many of those are missing since the US is using unlimited drone warfare - Yemen, Pakistan, Mali, Lebanon.) 3. What is bombed? Aerial bombing? Really all ground invasions ever included it? (Did not study Grenada or Panama, those were mainly Ground invasions.) 4. Countries actually protected from invader (invading forces bombed on their teritory) should be included? (Looking at Kuwait - very dubious).
Would be good to put a little effort, add caveats and devide into categories (Ground invasions, aerial bombing only, part of peacekeeping mission, drone striking…).
Also using of countries names is dubious (eg. Korea).
