Countries With Most Medieval Executions For Witchcraft

Between 1400 and 1800, with a peak between around 1560 to 1670, large numbers of people were tried and executed for sorcery and witchcraft. Many countries passed Witchcraft Act's, outlawing witchcraft and sanctioning the execution of it's practitioners. Try to name the (modern day) countries believed to be responsible for the most executions for the practice of witchcraft.
Most numbers are only estimates, exact figures are not known in most countries

These figures I've compiled from a number of pages on Wikipedia. The numbers in France and Italy are estimated to be much higher. In the United Kingdom the majority of executions took place in Scotland. In the Netherlands, most took place in the Spanish Netherlands, rather than the Dutch Republic. Whilst in Spain you were much more likely to be executed for heresy than witchcraft.
