Wall is never ever gonna happen and BTW what do visitors to our country have to do with building an imaginary wall to keep illegal aliens from sneaking in?

No it won't because people will still cross. You know most people travelling from Mexico to the US, either legally or illegally fly. So a wall isn't going to do much. Anyway, all Americans should be very glad of legal and illegal immigrants from Mexico, as they are the backbone of the US economy.

it's not as impossible as you'd think to go to north Korea, it's just heavily limited. Leaving as a native is more difficult but people do it anyway, usually through the Chinese border.

It's definitely not all. Research suggests fully two thirds of the Mexican undocumented immigrant population in the USA are people who overstayed their visas. This is just one in a long list of reasons why Trump's border wall is stupid. The large majority of those in the country illegally came originally on valid visas.
+3
Level 60
Dec 21, 2017
The border wall is just one piece of a larger national security plan to keep Americans safe. Trumps plan also includes more lawyers to create less lag-time before trials for illegal aliens begins, more deportation officers, repealing unconstitutional programs like DACA, etc. The wall alone won't stop illegals but it's a very important part of a larger plan.

There's no clear evidence that crime significantly increases with immigration, it's more correlated with low income.

Pork... this is delusional. The wall has nothing at all to do with safety and everything to do with wasting billions of dollars in service of the man's ridiculous ego.

Check the source, Hong Kong is listed separately so they don't count towards the tally. For 2023, Hong Kong had 93,000 visitors inbound to the US. Even if it was included in China figures, that's less than 10 percent
