apparently has a high tolerance for pain, as shown in "So Many Birthdays" when she displays no visible reaction, let alone discomfort, when Amethyst blindly swings a baseball bat at the side of her head. This is explained and justified due to the fact that she is a fusion of two Gems. While not outright invincible, it is shown that is the most physically durable of the Gems. It is shown that she endures different levels of damage almost daily, withstanding falling cars, scuffles with Jasper, and various other forms of physical force.Garnet
Statues and wall paintings of can occasionally be found in Gem ruins, indicating she was looked upon favorably by Gems at one point. This may indicate that she had a high status among her race. The Crystal Gems often reminisce about, and express their gratitude for her actions; Greg often laments over her departure with seemingly similar reasons. While pregnant with Steven, knowing that she could never meet him personally, made a video with the intent of posthumously expressing her love for him. At one point about 5,000 years prior to the events of the series, led Pearl defending from an unknown Gem Warrior, risking her life to do so. the Crystal Gems in a rebellious war against the Homeworld Gems on the Gem Battlefield and won. It is stated by Jasper that although they fought on different sides, she respected the military tactics that used during the war. As seen in "Story for Steven", the Crystal Gems (excluding) did not wear stars on their outfits at the time that met Greg. This implies that the symbol may have been adopted as a sign of respect and grief for after she gave up her physical form.Rose Quartz
possesses traits and abilities that are common among all Gems. Throughout the series, has been shown to have knowledge in multiple aspects of technology, from fixing Greg's Van, making a semi-functioning spacecraft out of leftover machine parts, creating a functional robot to battle Peridot, to fixing Peridot's Escape Pod and even reverse-engineering it to track Peridot's Warp Pad movements. While is lithe and quite graceful, she has surprising resilience to injury. In "Coach Steven", she took a headbutt from Sugilite, and could still move, given Steven's encouragement. In "On the Run", she took an explosion from Amethyst's whip directly and was fine almost immediately after, despite being briefly immobilized and scratched. In "Historical Friction" she says one of her talents is a dedication to fact. She has shown this skill in the past usually coupled with her holograms. Her immortality and attention to detail have allowed her to recall historical events as they truly happened, such as the beginning of the Crystal Gems rebellion and the founding of Beach City. Fusions When fused with Amethyst, they form Opal. When fused with Rose Quartz, they form Rainbow Quartz . When fused with Ruby and Sapphire (or Garnet), they form Sardonyx. When fused with Ruby and Sapphire (or Garnet) and Amethyst, they form Alexandrite.Pearl
as one of the rulers of Homeworld, is of a massive size, her height making a common pearl's pale in comparison. She has a pointed, upturned nose, plump lips and an unusually long neck. Her hair is a short bob with two spiked tips. She has black eyebrows, and black markings around both her eyes, which are bright yellow with diamond shaped pupils. She wears a black and olive bodysuit similar to the ones worn by Jasper, Peridot, and Garnet, as well as a yellow coat with very large shoulder pads and a cutout for her gemstone. She also wears gloves of a slightly darker yellow and very dark olive yellow boots.Yellow Diamond
possesses standard Gem abilities and traits. Out of the Crystal Gems, is the least likely to rely on her weapon in combat, instead relying on her martial art skills as a method of dealing with more minor threats. In "Laser Light Cannon", she readily volunteered to get thrown at the Red Eye by Garnet in order to punch/body slam into it as an attempt to destroy it, persevering long after it was already proved to be a futile by far the most frequent user of shape-shifting, which she uses to enhance her unarmed fighting. She may shapeshift into her wrestling alter-ego, the Purple Puma, or take on more bizarre forms depending on the task at hand.Amethyst
in all of her appearances to date, she wears a sleeveless green V-neck uniform. Her suit is mostly medium green, with a dark-green diamond outline around the cut-out of her neck area, meeting together to form the Yellow Diamond insignia at her solar plexus, with a dark-green portion between her chest and leggings. Her leggings feature yellow diamond-shaped kneepads. She is never seen without her visor, which covers the top half of her face and tints her eyes yellow-green.Peridot
she has a slim figure, light blue skin, and dark blue chin-length hair, arranged in almost the same as that of Pearl, although her bangs are slightly longer, with a fringe that covers her entire forehead. She wears a flowing, dark blue skirt, which is knee-length with a downward-facing dark blue triangle. She also wears a backless, dull and dark blue halter crop top with an upward-facing dark blue triangle that ties into a blue sash ribbon on the back of her shoulders. She has a blue lapis lazuli stone embedded in her back, in the form of a water droplet, from which she is able to summon and remove wings created out of water at will. Her outfit includes no footwear.Lapis lazuli
She wears a sleeveless half-red, half-mahogany uniform with a yellow diamond insignia on the chest and heavy boots (as described in Guide to the Crystal Gems).Jasper
She was once the supervisor of the colonization of Earth before abandoning it after the Crystal Gems' rebellion. In her debut, she had displayed a great intolerance towards insubordination as she intended to break Ruby's gem, despite the latter fulfilling her duties and protecting Sapphire.Blue Diamond
Abilities Being half-human and half-Gem, he is capable of using magic, though it is unknown if he possesses all the abilities of a pure Gem, such as retreating to their gemstone when taking fatal damage. As associated with his gemstone, his powers are maternal in nature and the control of his gem is based on emotional clarity. he has shown to have some abilities of a regular Gem, but sometimes has little control of them due to not receiving enough training. He can also warp using the warp pads, and bubble objects and gemstones to be teleported to the temple with seemingly full control. He is not strictly oxygen dependent and is vacuum resistant as shown in "Ocean Gem" and "Space Race." He has also been shown to be able to fuse, when he fused with Connie to form Stevonnie. However, he has not fused with a Gem yet. he is also capable of shape-shifting, but he has not yet learned to control it. His first (and, so far, only) attempt in "Cat Fingers" was disastrous, temporarily turning him into a cat monster. his and his shield. Unique Abilities Due to having his mother's gemstone, he shares most of his unique abilities with her. Shield Proficiency: Due to possessing his mother's gemstone,he can summon Rose's shield. Because His powers are maternal in nature, he is required to feel a strong need to protect and help others in order to call his shield out. Early on, he had little to no control over how to summon it, only calling it forth by chance or when in mortal danger. As of "Sworn to the Sword", He is now able to not only summon his shield with little effort, but also increase its size at will. He appears to have become quite skilled in wielding it as he was able to use it in conjunction with his protective bubble and defend against Pearl's strikes. Unlike some other gems, instead of "pulling" his shield out of his gem it appears in his arms similar to Garnet's gauntlets appearing over her hands. As of "Friend Ship", he has become completely capable of summoning his shield at any moment he requires it, even being able to scale his shield large enough to defend the Crystal Gems. It should be noted, however that overuse of his shield exhausts (such as using it three times in one day). Projectile Shield: He, when in great excitement, can shoot his shield like a projectile at great speed and power. In "Friend Ship", he weaponizes it as a range attack against Peridot, hitting her in the head with enough accuracy to temporarily stun her. Shield Vibration: On certain occasions that His shield is hit, it emits an audible vibration that disables magical constructs. In "Ocean Gem", it destabilized Lapis Lazuli's water clones when His shield was hit by a ball of water. It also seems to play a brief role in "Sworn to the Sword", when a Holo-Pearl attacks his shield and it promptly deactivates (the same sound in the former episode can be heard as it does). Tag-team Combat: Due to the close bond they share, He is able to coordinate his shield techniques perfectly with Connie's swordplay, such as fighting back-to-back to defend and attack simultaneously or catapulting Connie from his shield for a powerful lunge attack. Fluctuating Age: As revealed in the episode "So Many Birthdays", He can manipulate his age through his state of mind and maturity. His biological age depends solely on how old he thinks he is.[1] Healing: His saliva has the power to heal the injuries of both humans and Gems. However, it will not work on inorganic objects, as demonstrated in "Catch and Release". His healing capabilities have not yet been seen to the full extent of his power, but he is shown to be capable of healing cracked gemstones as seen when he healed Lapis Lazuli in "Ocean Gem". He can also heal common human injuries and conditions, seen when he healed Connie's eyesight in "An Indirect Kiss" and Greg's broken leg in "House Guest". During the end of "House Guest," the duct tape used to fix the Geode has the same sparkle effect as his saliva, and it is speculated that the duct tape replaced his spit, although the shine could've been used as an effect. In "The Test", Pearl remarks to the other Crystal Gems that he has lost his healing ability, PhytokinesisSteven Quartz Universe
