3/26. Anything that happened after the year 2000, I've got no clue about. Let it never darken my door again :-)

And who were the geniuses who encouraged those 'gen alpha' terms?

encouraged? used ironically sure, but none were encouraged, in fact are often characterized as stupid

The description of simp sounds like a description of an adjective, but that word is a noun or a verb. Please make sure the descriptions match the type of words they are describing.

That’s not really what zesty means

The definition for Zesty feels a bit off - it's more akin to "fruity" or flamboyant or just a euphemism for gay.

I was also thrown off by the Aura clue, all the other ones are straight definitions or explanations so it didn't occur to me that this was a complete the sentence type clue

Tweaking/tweaker has been around since at least the early 2000s. I feel like we were saying that when I was in high school, but maybe it was just a regional thing back then?

Millennial. Got 10 and probably should have had two more. Is "yap" really Gen Z slang though? That's been around forever. Sorta related: I once read a really interesting article about how fleeting most slang is, but for some unknown reason "cool" has stayed hip for like an entire century. And every generation comes up with its old alternative...the bee's knees, hot, phat, dope, rad, bitchin', fly, lit, righteous, and on and on. They all fade away, but somehow "cool" persists. Very curious.

I've heard about this phenomenon before, actually. It's because woulds like 'cool' and 'selfie' are not really categorized as brainrot terms (which have a sort of lifespan, like any meme on the internet).
