Metropolitan Counties of England

There are six metropolitan counties in England. Can you name them all?
Full names are required. Answers are listed alphabetically.
These counties were created in 1974 to cover large, highly-populated urban areas and were formed from parts of pre-existing counties. They all serve as modern-day ceremonial counties.
