You will catch hell from many nitpickers (invented electricity? The Internet? Bifocals, not glasses! Etc.) but it's a fun idea, and I'll be interested to google some of these people.

Electricity is a discovery, not an invention. Franklin invented bifocals; glasses were invented hundreds of years prior in Italy. Grosseteste is probably a better assertion for eyeglass inventor. Also, Netball? I'll assume you mean basketball. Very very odd word choice.
