No, I'm from New Jersey. Floyd and Irene produced flooding rain, no problems for me. Sandy's storm surge flooded areas that never flooded before including my street. Florence never made it up here. Isaias was mostly a wind event. I was fortunate to only lose power for an hour. Some nearby were without for a week.
I work in property/casualty insurance - but started this job in 2005. I got all the ones 2005 and later because they were all a big deal for us at work, but I missed most of the earlier ones.
Shouldn't you add Harvey, Irma, Maria, Florence and Michael? Harvey did 125 billion dollars in damage, Irma did 50 billion dollars in damage, Maria did 94.4 billion dollars in damage, Florence did 22 billion dollars, and Michael did 25 billion dollars. Matthew in total did 10 billion dollars in damages.
Matthew was a scare for a while to me. My prayers go out to those who who were affected.
