As per usual... very wrong definition given for nihilism. That, agnosticism, and the genre classification of Star Wars are among this website's favorite things to repeatedly get wrong.
I'm guessing it is classified as science fiction. Back in the 70s when it came out I always argued that it was not sci-fi but adventure like the Errol Flynn swashbuckler movies. Just because it is set in space didn't make it sci-fi.
Some might say that’s the wrong definition of nihilism. However, language is an artificial construct in our brains based simply on the way our brains deconstructs electrical impulses. We would have to determine a single grounding truth about knowledge before we can debate the definition.
