Managed to just get Sudan with 2 seconds to spare. Good quiz, quite surprised that Russia was not on the list.

I imagine in this quiz it means 'Bos taurus' what most of us think of as cattle.

I'd reckon that more than 50% of the cattle represented in this list would be Bos indicus...

Ireland's equivalent of the Iliad is the Táin Bó Cúailnge, literally translated to 'the driving off of cows of Coolee'. It details a war fought not over Helen of Troy, but a prize bull. Cows are clearly widely considered as a prime reason to have a war.

You're right, the title should say cattle. Even the picture is a bull!

Is it a bull? I've read the horns on highland cows and bulls are differently shaped, but not well versed enough to tell from the picture. My guess would have been that it's a cow(?) Any experts; please weigh in!

I knew there just HAD to be an African country in there, but I didn't guess them at all. I was stuck on the countries around South Africa, didn't even think of the two in the answers. Also, I'm a bit surprised Canada isn't on the list. There's a LOT of beef farming here. I'm not even out West where the really big ranches are, and probably three quarters of the farmers in my and my parent's area have herds of cattle.

I didnt know that was a(nother) name for it :) I call em highlanders, well actually "Schotse Hooglanders" all three meaning the same though. And yea I wondered about the picture too.

It is not on the quiz though it does represent the subject. And I think they are awesome looking :)

and coo sounds the same as koe which is what we call a cow. It is really interesting to hear/listen to Scots :)

Brazil exports a lot of beef to the world. The raising of cattle for this purpose is very strong. I think that explains the large amount.

It doesn't say anywhere that they consume these cows, they just have them. I think it's still acceptable in Hinduism to use cows for dairy, and there are other uses for cows, such as using them for labor and burning their dung as fuel (source).
