Click on every square of the world map which contains a country starting with "C".
Using country names as they appear on JetPunk's "Countries of the World Quiz". Therefore Republic of the Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo do NOT begin with C.
Brutal when Cyprus is essentially invisible haha, maybe it could have a circle in this map at least or maybe you want to keep it sneaky as overtired says
As a level 69, you would definitely know that JetPunk uses Republic of and Democratic Republic of as standard. Hence why neither of these are answers on the "Starts with C" quiz. And the quiz clearly states using names from the Countries of the World Quiz.
I was disappointed that this one caught me out too. A while since I have been on the site so I'd forgotten its specificities. I wouldn't expect "China" not to work, however it does start with a P (or perhaps an "R") if "Congo" starts with a D, or an R.
Most countries are "Republic of" something, but they're not considered to start with R. The only reason for this exception is that there are two countries called "[part of the name that would normally be omitted] Congo". Certainly, the full formal name is required for differentiation, but it doesn't change the fact that both countries technically start with C. Just as you ignore articles in book and movie titles and put "Christmas Story, The" with the C titles, an alphabetical list of countries would have "Congo, Republic of the" and "Congo, Democratic Republic of the" in with the other C countries.
At level 86, I definitely know how Jetpunk does it and why, and the "why" is why both countries start with C.
Whether or not you personally feel like the countries start with a C, quizzes like this always use the name as displayed on the countries of the world quiz. In this case it is even stated in the caveats.
So if you can have quizzes with qualifiers such as biggest cities in the world, expect those in china. You can certainly have a quiz so-and-so.. using the standard (not type-in) jetpunk names. On the biggest cities quiz you are not going to complain that the chinese cities are missing are you? It is simply a requirement for the quiz.
And it seems 57% of the people do not read the description/caveats ;)
(And yes this time I didn't read the comments before posting, I generally do, but sometimes I think I might forget what I wanted to say. Usually if I see my comment have already been made I delete it after reading the other comments)
btw I wonder if those 11% that clicked northern Europe had Copenhagen in mind. For some reason when trying to think of countries Copenhagen kept butting in haha, so perhaps that was the cause for others too, but they acted on it.
And I wouldn't have expected some of the china squares to score so low!
It's basically like saying Washington D.C. starts with D or North Korea starts with K
