Greenland has the same surface area as Saudi Arabia, despite having around 10 times its size on a mercator map

They are pretty huge, but BC takes a big bite out of Alberta, and both provinces are (relatively) narrow :)

This really puts into perspective how huge Africa is. I would have thought that British Columbia dwarfed countries like Ethiopia - even knowing how much the Mercator projection skews countries' sizes.

Wikipedia says Egypt's total area is 1,010,408 km2. Without the Sinai Peninsula (60,000 km2), shouldn't Egypt's area here be somewhere around 950,000 km2 (since the caveat says only the African part of countries in Africa is counted)?

Nigeria is an african country and according to Wikipedia, its surface area is 924,000 km² so you should either change the quiz description or add Nigeria.
