In each group, name any answer which matches the first category to reveal the second category, then name any answer which applies to both categories to reveal a third, and so on.
Oh. I always had this image of Mongolia being up north of China and Kazakhstan being somewhat south of China and they are actually about as far north. Live and learn.
Panama is a right answer for the second one. First letter between M-Z. Blue on it's flag, has a capital name over 9 letters (Panama-City is 10 letters long). And lies entirely west of London...
It works for the first 4 clues (as it should) but doesn't work for the last. And it shouldn't since "Panama" doesn't contain the letter Y. It's possible that you didn't have the yellow box lined up correctly, since Panama works correctly for the first 4 clues.
Pink box: There are only 6 countries which fullfil the two last clues (when let aside the other three, rather redundant clues): Burkina Faso, CAR, South Sudan, North Macedonia, San Marino, Vatican City! Clue 1 eats another 3 of them. ;-)
I wonder where were you looking, because I honestly can't remember a quiz where that is the case. I won't say 100%, but almost always, it is and always was considered an European country.
Always neat when you start out with the bottom answer first and type it in successfully 5 times in a row, and particularly so when you had a 1/153 chance.
I hate my life. I typed almost every landlocked country I could think of, including sudan. After I typed this, I *almost* typed south sudan, but decided to work on the final yellow answer instead. . .
Probably it would be better if the quiz stated "lies in the western hemisphere", becuase, strictly speaking, we could consider any place in the world to be east or west of any other.
I got them all reasonably fast except the pink box. Got all the clues but I had no idea which country it could be (those elevation questions always get me because I just have nooooo idea about that). So I just guessed a random two-word country and actually got South Sudan on first try? Wow!
I managed to get them all, but this quiz reminds me of how terrible I am at flags! I need to brush up on them. For me it wound up being a guessing game using the other clues provided.
If you wanted to practice flags, I can highly recommend our JetPunk Minigame : Geography Snap! It's very useful for learning flags, capitals and shapes :)
China's full name in English is the People's Republic of China, so it would fit into every answer for the blue category (being nit-picky here of course, fun quiz!)
Hold on a moment, russia does have an s in the name, it does have a land area above 1,000,000 km^2, it does have red in the flag, it's in asia, why doesn't it count here?
The quiz seems to be broken, for the blue and purple questions only one letter seemed to fill them in already. (and they might have even kept filling in without me repeating the letter. It went so fast. I think it gave me 8 right in one second..)
Edit I tried to recreate it and it worked again. The letter r gave me 7 correct)
I really like these.
That said, great quiz, and got them all :)
are in Asia. But when I typed it in it didn't work
