Find the 10 countries hidden in the word search grid. As with typical word searches, words may be forwards or backwards in any row, column, or diagonal.
There are no answer boxes on purpose! The responsive grid is your only resource to find countries
After over 16 months of being live, I have finally updated the very first wordsearch quiz to be SVG instead of a standard image. Now watch your words be crossed off the grid as you find them, also allowing you to see which you missed at the end!
I believe my highest was 20, although that included some bonus words and some abbreviations. As there are a limited number of countries, there must be a definitive answer. My guess would be somewhere around 14 or so
If we’re banning all abbreviations, then the minimum size the grid would have to be at least 28x28 just to accommodate the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which is 28 letters long.
Originally "USA" and "UK" were included in the quiz, but I removed them since acronyms are silly and shouldn't be included! So that free'd up more space, allowing two extra letters to be unused!
Nope. Turns out plattitude was wrong with 9, it was always 10 after the removal of UK/USA. By the date you can see the quiz hasn't changed since their comment.
After a major overhaul today, you'll find all 27 of these Country Word Searches now have no answer boxes (how word searches are supposed to be completed), have no bonuses (which were prominent on later grids, despised by many) and also have had all "United" acronyms removed. So now you can just find countries, and not worry about any acronyms sneaking in there!
I have a bit of Dyslexia myself, if it's a jumbled word, I usually know what it means. I don't have a huge dyslexic brain, I have a bit of it. Also, WHERE MY DYSLEXIA SQUAD AT! CUZ IM HERE!
It was originally, but caveats clearly state that "Acronyms like UK are notaccepted."
This is because I removed all the acronyms from all of these word searches, since originally only UK, USA and UAE were accepted. But then why should they be the only ones? Why not CAR, PNG, NZ, DPRK, ROK, ROC etc... be accepted. So I made the executive decision to purge all acronyms, as that way the quizzes are more fun and challenging. (After doing all 27 grids, you realise that 50%+ had UK, UAE and USA in them, meaning you could easily get 3 answers without trying)
So abbreviations do count? Kinda cheap, especially when you point out that acronyms don't. Even though they're not the same, it does give off the impression that only full words will count.
Yes, I admit, I'm not too pleased with that either. As you may see from earlier comments, originally acronyms were allowed, but then there became a problem with when does that stop? Do you allow NZ for New Zealand? MI for Marshall Islands? etc...
So after the quiz was reformatted (along with the other 30) to remove all acronyms as answers, this was not suitable to remove as the then the whole grid would need to be reworked to prevent too many answers being cut.
Sorry for the inconvenience, I am pretty sure none of the others in this series are affected by the St. Lucia issue.
Please remove St Lucia. Not only is it an acronym, which you say are not accepted, but I had to look at the comments to even remotely consider it. I find that a WORD search implies in its very essence that we are searching for SINGULAR words as answers, not multiple word answers. Come up with another short country name to put in here instead.
after realizing the answers could be backwards, i reanalized every line, not even thinking about it i mindlessly wrote "stlucia" to be safe and then realized i got it right
I didn't even think of St Lucia two words and abbreviated; I might have won if not for that. I know you said you regret it. It's just that it was so fun you want to win bad LOL

I think I probably missed the W on the second row.
Enjoy :)

There are Artificial Intelligence (AI) cults in St. Lucia!!!
We must stop them before they take over the world!!!

Well done!
🤣
Least guessed: St. Lucia
Also read the caveat:
Acronyms like UK are not accepted.
Very great quiz, would definitely recommend this quiz to someone
Great job 👍
