I like the idea of this quiz, but I wonder if it's not showing up for me, properly. When I 'start' the quiz there's no coloring of the map. It's all the same yellow color.
I played it by typing in random names of countries and when one of those was correct, I tried adding neighbor countries until those were accepted.
I'm sure I'm missing something--or there's a glitch to work out.
Sometimes I find that my Safari browser is at fault, but I tried this with Chrome as well and still no luck in seeing a merged blob of countries.
It should show when you load the page, not after clicking start. Some borders between countries will be removed, and you need to type the countries involved in those merges. Some may be difficult to spot. It's possible there's a CSS bug, but I wouldn't be able to figure that out without knowing more about your device, OS and version so I can figure out what's wrong.
Peru and Chile aren't a possible pairing, so you probably had Peru-Bolivia and Chile-Bolivia, which wouldn't result in the Peru-Chile border disappearing.
Haiti and the Dominican Republic are so small I had to zoom to find it. I was looking everywhere, then was like, "wait, what if it's those two?" and then I got it.
