I disagree that that’s the reason. I think a lot of Americans are quite “in touch” with their Irish ancestry. More Brits visit Spain than Ireland. This might also explain Ivory Coast’s lofty position, if users have learnt to correct their error?
How about the reverse of this quiz, five least-guessed?
Fun quiz. Happy that my favorite flag, PNG, is there. The black and red diagonal split with white stars and yellow bird of paradise is just amazing. Thank you.
I saw the quiz and I think I know why. It's because the Ivory Coast is very high up. Same case with Ireland. Some people don't really go all the way down and give up, so they are less likely to see countries in the bottom of the list, especially in mobile
I mean, Ghana's flag kind of gets lost in all the other red/yellow/green African flags with a star. It's understandable that it's not guessed too much.
I think it could be more interesting without giving the flags. Then, for example, the solver would have to understand that even though Israel is not one of the five most known countries in Asia, the fact that its flag implies Jewish country makes it very recognizable.
With the flags given, it's just yet another flags recognizing quiz...
Interesting Palau is 4th for Oceania even though it's not a very remarkable country (Fiji and Tonga are both more important). Speaks in the flag's favor.
