In each randomized group, name any answer which matches the first category to reveal the second category, then name any answer which applies to both categories to reveal a third, and so on.
The answers and categories change every time you play!
Using JetPunk conventions where applicable (Russia is Europe, Cyprus is Asia etc...). Overseas territories are excluded, but overseas regions are included.
# = the number of answers possible. Answer must correspond to the highlighted yellow box.
Assuming all countries have an equal chance of being chosen, there are 196 choose 4 = 59626385 ways to choose the 4 countries and 194 choose 2 = 18721 ways that include both Niger and Nigeria. The total chance is 18721/59626385 ≈ 0.0314%.
The clues for my Orange category one were: Countries with green on their national flag / that are in Eurasia / with a land area greater than 100,000 km2 / that contain the letter S / that start with a vowel.
The answer you had was Uzbekistan, but Afghanistan also works and I used up the whole time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Afghanistan has almost a third of its flag green, it's in Eurasia, its land area is more than 650,000 km2, it contains an S, and it starts with an A.
Everyone just types in "USA" so I honestly assumed that it was referred to as the United States of America too. I also tried it for the blue set of clues, for contains letter M. Also, French Guiana should work instead of France. I tried it a million times and thought the quiz was broken.
In Blue I got Countries that are not landlocked with more than 10 million people that contain the letter R. I believe United States of AmeRica should be included. Unless Jetpunk only considers their name to be United States?
It's part of the Commonwealth of Nations. There's been no such thing as the "British Commonwealth" since the 1940s, so the wording in the question is incorrect and should be updated.
hey, just a little confused, one of the things was "that border the caribbean sea" and it let me type netherlands. the netherlands doesnt border the caribbean sea.
A constituent part of the Netherlands, equivalent of USA's Hawaii, does though. You would classify the USA as being in the middle of the Pacific, and bordering the arctic via Alaska, so this counts exactly the same.
On orange categories (at least 100 000km2, with blue on their flag, 7 or fewer letters, contains the letter D and is part of NATO) it only put iceland, but now Finland joined NATO and fits in every other categories. Can you update the quiz?
This is not a glitch. France and Brazil do share a border via French Guiana. And that's not just an "overseas territory", French Guiana is as much part of France as Hawaii is to the USA.
I mean this might be the hardest country ever to guess, because of the 3000m. Because I had absolutely no idea that the tiny country of equatorial guinea has a peak that is >3000
JetPunk uses Official English Short Names, so the country name is United States. This aligns with what is used on the Countries of the World quiz on JetPunk. There is no other way to make this fair than to use the standard across JetPunk.
"Countries with a land area smaller than 250,000 km² that contain the letter O that are in Asia with black on their national flag that end with the letters IA."
It answered Cambodia but I don't remember black on the national flag.
Is it the building (Angkor Wat) or is it a mistake?
I'd like to know, where do you get the information for this quiz? Wikipedia says 82.7 people per square kilometer, but google says 106 (which I'm assuming his condition was >100/sqkm).
The data is collected from reputable sources and computed. In the case of population density, population figures from JetPunk's own population source here from April 2024.
For Iraq, this was 46,346,275 at the time. Area used was taken from Wikipedia's page for land area here. The figure on record for that is 437,367 km2. Which also matches the area stated on Wikipedia. This gives a density of 105.97 people per km2.
The fault is on Wikipedia's Iraq page. As its own source here states 105, and even computing using the numbers on the Iraq page gives 105 as well.
why doesn't USA work here? It worked for each hint up to the 4th one, and they definitely have white on their flag. This wouldn't have worked for the last one, which was 'borders Iran', but still
I find the population density of Mozambique to be about 44.54 per km². What you may be thinking of is people per mile², which does exceed 100. All of the clues work for Mozambique except the first.
I hate/love this quiz.....I dutifully made a spreadsheet with columns continent, flag (image), country name, populalion density km and mi, land in km and mi and I still don't have enough time. How on earth can @scythebrine finish in 20 seconds???? I've devolved to going untimed just so I can get it finished, pathetic
It's not pathetic, it's a hard quiz (8.1% of people got 100% as of now). A minute per country is pretty hard if you think about it. I just hard grinded for fast completions.
(Edit, I'm getting back into it, time to grind for sub 20 seconds)
Jordan is not landlocked. Check a map, it has a small coastline on the Gulf of Aqaba, which connects it to the Red Sea and thus makes it not landlocked.
Wikipedia: "Jordan's only coastline at its southern extremity, where nearly 26 kilometres (16 mi) of shoreline along the Gulf of Aqaba provides access to the Red Sea."
I had: Countries that contain the letter R, with more than 5 million people, with a coastline of at least 1000 km, that start with a vowel. Why does "United States of America" not work here? It seems it should.
Oh, ok, apparently it's "United States" on Jetpunk. I figured it out because I had "Countries... that end in s" and "United States" was the answer. Kind of weird given that Jetpunk accepts "USA" for short, but whatever.
This time it's: Countries with white on their flag, that are 8 or more letters long, that contain the letter O, with a land area greater than 100,000 km. Still "United States of America" won't work. What am I missing?
I just figured out that although Jetpunk uses "USA" for short, when spelled out, only "United States" is accepted. I found out because I had "...ends in s" as a clue. A little surprising, but ok.
The answer you had was Uzbekistan, but Afghanistan also works and I used up the whole time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Afghanistan has almost a third of its flag green, it's in Eurasia, its land area is more than 650,000 km2, it contains an S, and it starts with an A.
with more than 5 million people
that are landlocked
that are eight letters long...
Zimbabwe is a landlocked country
Population: 14.86 million (2020) World Bank
Wouldn't accept it as an answer
2. Contains the letter R
I typed USA and it didn’t accept it. America has an R and the flag has blue
Most likely though, is that "Micronesia" is called the "Federated States of Micronesia" on JetPunk and so is not one word.
with a land area greater than 100,000 km²
that are part of NATO
with white on their national flag
How does USA not fit into this?
... with a maximum elevation above 3000m
... with a land area smaller than 100,000 km²
... that contain the letter R
... with fewer than 5 million people
I mean this might be the hardest country ever to guess, because of the 3000m. Because I had absolutely no idea that the tiny country of equatorial guinea has a peak that is >3000
with more than 25 million people
with blue on their national flag
that are in The Americas
that end in the letter S
This was the USA but for the last one "that end in the letter S" the USA ends with the letter A and not S as it is United States Of America.
It answered Cambodia but I don't remember black on the national flag.
Is it the building (Angkor Wat) or is it a mistake?
Edit: 20 SECONDS DANG
For Iraq, this was 46,346,275 at the time. Area used was taken from Wikipedia's page for land area here. The figure on record for that is 437,367 km2. Which also matches the area stated on Wikipedia. This gives a density of 105.97 people per km2.

Countries that contain the letter R
...that are 8 or more letters long
...with more than 10 million poeple
...that border the Carribbean Sea
...with a total land area greater than 100,000 square km
The answer was Honduras
Couldn't it also be The United States of America
because Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands border that sea?
The correct solution shoud be Federal State of Micronesia:
Countries that are 8 or more letters long: OK
... that are not landlocked: OK
... that contain the letter E: OK
... with fewer than 5 million people: OK (105,754)
... with a coastline of at least 1000 km: OK (6,112 km)
... that are 8 or more letters long
... with a land area greater than 250,000 km²
... with white on their national flag
why doesn't USA work here? It worked for each hint up to the 4th one, and they definitely have white on their flag. This wouldn't have worked for the last one, which was 'borders Iran', but still
with black on their national flag
with more than 25 million people
with a coastline of at least 1000 km
that contain the letter M
It said Germany, but Mozambique also fits these criteria right?
(Edit, I'm getting back into it, time to grind for sub 20 seconds)
Wikipedia: "Jordan's only coastline at its southern extremity, where nearly 26 kilometres (16 mi) of shoreline along the Gulf of Aqaba provides access to the Red Sea."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Jordan
- Red on flag
- Contains letter y
- Has 6 letters
- Situated in Europe
Turkey is partially in Europe and should also be an acceptable answer. Fun quiz though!
