In each randomized group, name any answer which matches the first category to reveal the second category, then name any answer which applies to both categories to reveal a third, and so on.
The answers and categories change every time you play!
Using JetPunk conventions where applicable (Russia is Europe, Cyprus is Asia etc...). Overseas territories are excluded, but overseas regions are included.
# = the number of answers possible. Answer must correspond to the highlighted yellow box.
Every single country is possible, but this uses custom code to generate the categories. I'll work out the maths later, but I would say it's very likely every single game will be different. It's not using the quiz editor or random group at all since it's all custom code.
Well if you've ever copied the quizmaster fast math quizzes, it's not far off that. Basically 90% of the quiz is created through custom code not the editor, the only thing I use the editor for is creating the design grid in step 4 with the hidden cells.
I hope to do a blog sometime soo to explain how this was made, because it took a long time to get here ...
Wow wait - there's a potential table for every 196-country? As a total non-expert, the only way I can imagine that you did this would be incredibly painstaking, even using the large amount of data you must have from the previous incarnations with fixed answers.
So if I imagine correctly, it must be possible (or even, almost certain) that the answer country will have different categories above each time the quiz is played?
I got a question about a country in the Americas, with white on its flag, that's max. elevation is above 5000m, bigger than 250.000km2 and contain the letter M. Idk why the USA doesn't count.
not to be rude, because you make amazing quizzes, but 'United States of America' has been its official name since 1776. United States is just a shortened form of that
Well we have to use some sort of standard to ensure conventions are used. Across all of JetPunk we use United States, so it would not make sense to use a different name just for this one quiz. This is clearly covered by the first caveat.
Also the quality of my quizzes has nothing to do with following JetPunk conventions.
Thinking about this I came to the surprising discovery that the USA don't have a "personal" name...
In "Russian Federation", Russia ist the name.
In "Peoples Republic Of China", China is the name.
In "United States Of America", it sounds like America would be the name, but America is the name of the continent (2 Continents) and there are other states which are not "united" with the USA.
Most other countries have some form of "personal" name, some of them share it with others (Sudan, Korea, Guinea...) but a few don't even have such a name (USA, CAR, UAE, South Africa, UK, East Timor,...)
In some cases the "namelessness" is hidden in old words/languages (Austria, Australia, most likely more !?)
This is not ment to be offensive in any way, it's just a weird product of my scattered brain :D
Okay after looking into it, I'm sticking with Land Area. Land Area is definitive and only restricted by agreed territories (which are decided by JetPunk Standards anyway). Total Area is reported differently by different sources depending on if and which territorial waters are included. This means some sources even place China 4th instead of USA just because the USA has more coastal waters than China, despite being smaller in strictly land.
To keep consistent with other category eliminations, I have reworded the area clues to use the word "Land" explicitly.
This means Egypt sits at 995k and does not have more than 1m km2 land area
See the first caveat. Due to the way the quiz is made, Russia can't be both Asia and Europe and so it follows JetPunk conventions and puts it in Europe. Sorry
This quiz still uses 2020 estimates (4.8m). It will be updated later this year. (Since population continually changes, it would be unrealistic to update every time)
I have played it a number of times, and the only clues I don't like are the "exactly x letters long" ones. Results in to much random guessing, as typing a countrys name is as easy as counting the number of letters.
All of my answers were African countries. How random is that? Got all but the last one. (6 letters, on the coast, greater than 100,000km and has an E in it.)
Yes, Moldova satisfies all those clues (and I checked the data too). If it didn't work then I suspect either the clue was EU not Europe (which discounts Moldova), or it was "less than 25000 km2" instead of 250k
JetPunk considers Australia a continent instead of an island, which means it's not counted. I don't agree with that but we have to conform to JetPunk standards to be consistent. There's lots of arguments about it on the "Island Countries Quiz"
'Countries that are only one word that contain the letter E that are in Europe that end with the letters IA that are landlocked' should accept Czechia as an answer.
Hey, so there is a category where "Czech Republic" is the final answer, and categories leading up to it include "contains the letter P" and "more than one word". Would this be different now, since the nation now goes by Czechia?
For the Green Category where "Barbados" is the final answer, I believe that Guinea-Bissau should satisfy the second-to-last clue. Apologies in advance if I just misspelled it.
The clues for my Orange category one were: Countries with green on their national flag / that are in Eurasia / with a land area greater than 100,000 km2 / that contain the letter S / that start with a vowel.
The answer you had was Uzbekistan, but Afghanistan also works and I used up the whole time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Afghanistan has almost a third of its flag green, it's in Eurasia, its land area is more than 650,000 km2, it contains an S, and it starts with an A.
Everyone just types in "USA" so I honestly assumed that it was referred to as the United States of America too. I also tried it for the blue set of clues, for contains letter M. Also, French Guiana should work instead of France. I tried it a million times and thought the quiz was broken.
In Blue I got Countries that are not landlocked with more than 10 million people that contain the letter R. I believe United States of AmeRica should be included. Unless Jetpunk only considers their name to be United States?
I hope to do a blog sometime soo to explain how this was made, because it took a long time to get here ...

I'd love to see your blog about it!
But yes, you are right, it is almost certain every single game played will be entirely different and customised.
Finished with 2:06 left
Thanks!
Also the quality of my quizzes has nothing to do with following JetPunk conventions.
In that manner, Russia contains F, China contains P, Switzerland contains C but not Z, Israel contains T
Your point?

... that contain the letter E
... that are located entirely on islands
... that are smaller than 25,000 km²
Why not Singapore?
Guessed 60%+ on JetPunk
5 letters long
Bigger than 1M km2
What about Egypt?
To keep consistent with other category eliminations, I have reworded the area clues to use the word "Land" explicitly.

Will play again.
Plus, for the Moldova thingy, it said EU.
With the final answers being Monaco, Saint Lucia, Spain and Oman.
Great Quiz!
with blue on their national flag
that start with a vowel
that contain the letter U
that are located entirely on islands
The quiz said it was the UK but why couldn't it be Australia?
I mean
1 Red flag
2 population more than 5 mil.
3 contain s
4 entirely on island
5 max elevation above 3000m
It was an answer under one of them but is said one word.
At least I didn't :)

with more than 5 million people
that are landlocked
that are eight letters long...
Zimbabwe is a landlocked country
Population: 14.86 million (2020) World Bank
Wouldn't accept it as an answer
2. Contains the letter R
I typed USA and it didn’t accept it. America has an R and the flag has blue
