Am I not allowed to promote a relevant quiz in the comment section here? Why were my comments removed? Is there something wrong with me making a more challenging version of this quiz and linking it here for others to challenge themselves?
It is frowned upon to copy a quiz and just change something small, especially with no credit to the original work. And then posting it on the original quiz is also seen as a sign of greed, trying to capitalise of the success of the original.
I understand, and I've added a credit at the top of that quiz (as I should have done originally). When I took this quiz, my first thought was that it should be long enough that nobody could finish so the answer stats could reflect the true distribution of scores, and seeing that somebody else had commented something similar I thought I should just go ahead and make it myself (as is often suggested on this site whenever somebody complains about a quiz). You're welcome to copy it back to have it on your own account though, and I can delete it, as it is true that I didn't put effort into making it.
Thanks for understanding, you've been on JetPunk a long time and it's clear your intentions were good, so I'll let you keep it on your account. Thanks!
Generally people don't like quizzes which are impossible to finish, which is why I did 1 a second, so that it was possible to finish even if there was a slight skew to 100%. Plus, there's more gratification when people get 100% then just getting a new PB :P
I think success depends on the number of "awkward" words that appear in the list - sometimes I can do it, sometimes not, and it's usually when I get a number of words that contain little-used letters in combination with one another that I just can't make it happen!
its so interesting to me how for some people, a quiz like this is super difficult, while I can complete this with little effort with 7 seconds to spare
Nice to know I am (one below) average. I expected to be slightly above though, with so many quizzes where people say it is too short.
I think for me on laptop might have been slower than phone or tablet, I kept having to luck up and down, which cost me a lot of time.
However when I type ( like now) when I know what I am about to type, I can go a lot faster. weirdly enough, then I don't check to see where I should type.
Let's see how I ll do on a second run
Edit ok, not looking was not faster for me! I guess I am used to everday words and combinations. I tried 2 more, one again without looking, better but still not as good as my initial attempt. Then another go wíth looking, thought I could beat my own score, but again one lower
Second Try- 2 sec left
Third Try- 2 sec left
Fourth Try- You guessed it! 2 sec left
And Finally, Fifth Try- I went complete try hard and had 5 sec left

2nd try: 8 words
3rd try: 9 words
4th try: 9 words
5th try: 10 words
6th try: 12 words
On this rate, it'll take a year to get all.
