The arrows point to small countries. You probably had the arrow for Singapore or Bahrain. I'll change that to make it clearer.

Also note that you can always click the map to zoom in, since there is something there it's just very small!

I started with Brunei. Kept guessing Singapore and was surprised it didn't take. Pretty hard to tell them apart without having any idea of scale.

You know you can also start with another country just by moving the cursor on the bar to a different position, and then come back to the beginning later, when most of the map is complete.

Methuselah was the oldest person to have ever lived at 969 years. The climate and the earth was more conducive to longer living between creation and the flood. Even after the flood, people lived for hundreds of years for a few generations before the life expectancy tapered off. You might refute this as superstition, but it will be proven true in the end.

And what relevance has that got to a quiz about random Asian countries? Muppet.

Keep your religious nonsense comments to religious quizes or religious forums.

This quiz is nearly impossible in the mobile version. The keyboard takes up half the screen, the URL and answer bars another big chunk and a lot of time scrolling looking for a country, often winding up way over and down in the white margins indistinguishable from the map.

Why Russia is not here? I know that is a transcontinental country but still, the majority of Russian teritory is in Asia so?
+5
Level 86

Many JetPunk quizzes consider Russia to be a European country because most of its population lives in the European side.
+6

That^ But also if I added Russia in, then the rest of Asia would be shrunk making it harder to distinguish the rest of the countries.

That's where Palestine resides. Due to differing opinions on whether it is or is not a country, and following JetPunk conventions, we've left out Palestine, but haven't merged it with Israel.

Hi Stewart. Your quizzes are fantastic. However, I am aware of your criteria, but I must say, having a map of Asia without Russia featuring at all is plain daft. It needn't be a dichotomy; Russia is a very large part of both Asia and Europe.
+4
Level 68

Most of the maps across JetPunk are standardized, and to many users having Russia on both the Asia and Europe quizzes would become confusing.
+1
Level 74
Jul 10, 2020
Really? I think you may be underestimating the site's users' intelligence. After all, they are separate quizzes. When you think about countries that are in Asia, Russia is certainly among them, as it represents the largest land mass by area in Asia. When you think of countries in Europe, ditto.

I was not suggesting people wouldn't recognise Russia, I was stating that we would lose standardization of quizzes. Having Russia on both Europe and Asia would be confusing because it messes with the consistency on JetPunk, and changing that would mean quizzes like "Top Five <> by Continent" become screwed because Russia gets put in two categories each time, which is unfair.

For once you Americans drop your biases and put Palestine on the map. More countries recognise it as independent than Taiwan that feature on this map.
+6
Level 68
Apr 28, 2022
1) I am not American

2) We use the same "standard" across the whole of JetPunk to ensure uniformity on quizzes

3) Taiwan is a cherry-picked case. Many countries cannot afford to recognise Taiwan due to the bullying they receive from China's government not to do so.
