What countries are the most "underpopulated" based on how many people they would have to add before their population density was the same as the global average?
Funnily enough, Bangladesh is actually projected to hit 200 m in 2039 based on the 2024 UN Population Prospects. The UN updates their figures every 2 years so this projection is bound to change.
If the British Empire was still going, that would be top of the list...
I am aware this suggestion is different to the above options as they are countries next to each other that separated as opposed to the Empire being spread around the world, I just wanted to add an 'if' myself!
Also, if the United States annexed Canada, Mexico, Central America, all the Caribbean Islands, and the entirety of South America, they would be . . . #3 on this list.
Russia back when it was the soviet union was the only country to pass 200 million and then drop under 200 million, it peaked at 210 million in the 1990s and now has 140 million
Nooo I had a brain fart for about 30 seconds then realized the last country, quickly typed Bangladesh while the clock was ticking on the 5 seconds left mark, then I got Pakistan in mind, typed Pakist but it was too late. GG
GAME OVER BOYS
