Given that there is a bridge between Malmo and Copenhagen and a tunnel between Folkstone and Calais, couldnt Sweden and Denmark, and UK and France count?
I would say that the Oresund bridge merely emphasizes the fact that there is no land border between Denmark and Sweden. That thing wouldn't be needed otherwise...
Challenge - complete with fewest letters typed (barring 'accepted spelling errors', however accepted abbreviation, e.g. "UK" are allowed).
My best - 73 (Malta (5), Iceland (7), UK (2), Spain (5), Italy (5), France (5), Austria (6), Germany (7), Sweden (6), Serbia (6), Greece (6), Latvia (6), Moldova (7))
You need to count the number of letters in "France" and "Austria" again. This brings your total to 75 - for a while I thought this was the best but you can actually do it in 74 under your rules. Unless there are any more abbreviations I am unaware of, this is definitely the best.
Now looked at the type-ins on the quiz - 74 is definitely the best. Though actually this doesn't take into account FamousRob's idea... I may have to rethink this.
OK you can get 72 if you are allowed to click in the box for free on order to type UKraine. But this would take more time than typing two letters, so I think my 74 is the morally correct answer.
Since this is actually 75 letters (France and Austria), you could get it down to 70 letters. Just write Germany down somewhere and copy it. Then paste it (Ctrl + v) which is only 2 letters instead of 7.
But this quiz is about countries in Europe - even the map matches the instructions - and St Martin/Sint Maarten in in the Americas. I think it would be more accurate to leave out a Netherlands-France border from this quiz.
@Jerry928 Although your point is totally valid, I would argue that both countries are located in Europe (forgetting overseas territories) and there is still that border between those two countries located in Europe. And as you have obviously noticed, there is still a 'raging' argument about St Martin's 'urge' to be in the 'Countries Bordering France' quiz. I think because the instructions don't refer to overseas territories (for now!) we should leave it as it is unless I get many more arguing a similar point.
"there is still that border between those two countries located in Europe". Where is the border in Europe? The only place they border is , by technicality, in North America.
I'm going to argue against that because while France borders the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands featured in this quiz is only one of the constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, thus France does not border the Netherlands. It borders St. Martin/The Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Did it with 5 seconds remaining, iceland -> malta -> uk -> russia -> spain -> france -> germany -> italy -> austria -> sweden -> serbia -> moldova -> greece
So, the Country with the most borders is Germany, I believe... you get Germany, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, France , Luxembourg and Czech Republic all at once!
I know this probably isn't the quickest solution but this is the best one I've found: Italy (5), Russia (6), Romania(7), Albania(7), Germany(7), Spain (5), Bosnia (6), Austria (7), Sweden (6), Iceland (7), Ireland (7), Monaco (6) Malta (5) Total: 81
Edit: Just realized you can sub out Ireland (7) for UK (2) bringing the total down to 76
Europe by BORDERS. I don't get why Iceland and Malta are here. Their only borders are seas... No islands in the countries of the world version of the borders quiz.
Read the instructions, it says type in a country and it fills in the countries that it borders on the map aswell. It isnt fill in a country by typing a country that borders it.
Edit: it actually also even says (either after your comment or in anticipation of likewise comments) there are two countries that do not border another country. It is all but spelled out..
If you type a country bordering Italy (that’s not San Marino or Vatican City) Italy would be filled in, but those 2 countries wouldn’t be filled in because that would mean there is 2 borders (e.g. France borders Italy, Italy borders Vatican City.) So you would have to directly type Italy for that to also be filled in.
St Martin is an overseas collectivity of France, which is effectively a colony. St Martin is also not part of the Country of the Netherlands. So while the Kingdom of the Netherlands borders French territory, the Netherlands doesn't border France.
This was a 60 second by borders originally but QM changed the timing to 30 seconds so it looks like that I copied the quiz when in fact I had a different amount of time originally.
My point is that I didn't intend to copy this quiz. It was technically a different quiz originally but it looks like I copied it when the timing was changed.
Includes borders from overseas territories
every year you say your times
i did it n 25 seconds
My best - 73 (Malta (5), Iceland (7), UK (2), Spain (5), Italy (5), France (5), Austria (6), Germany (7), Sweden (6), Serbia (6), Greece (6), Latvia (6), Moldova (7))
Set to un-timed to practice.

A pity that they don't do so on others as well.
