This is revealed in book six, Moon Rising, when Moon(watcher) is reading about animus powers. In the same scroll, she reads about Fathom and Darkstalker.

Throughout the third arc, this is a recurring problem. Wasp stabs eggs twice with a substance from a plant known as the “breath of evil,” as explained in another question.

Thorn, unlike Blister, could hold the Eye of Onyx without it incinerating her. Thus, she was deemed worthy of the throne. Blaze, the only living SandWing rival, decided she didn’t want the throne — she was just happy to still be alive.

Blister snatched the Eye of Onyx away, and when she held it, the Eye deemed her unworthy of the throne and incinerated her on the spot, killing her instantly. Burn, the other one who died, died to a dragonbite viper.

The animus-touched egg was created by Orca, one of Queen Coral’s daughters who had challenged for the throne years before. She died, but only after enchanting her statue to kill any eggs in the Royal Hatchery containing a female dragonet.

The book is the tenth in the series, ending the second arc, and is 385 pages long. It also has the longest epilogue — it goes from page 357 to the end for 29 pages!

In book six, Moon Rising, Moon(watcher) reads about animus dragons, and, after Darkstalker told her to read about Fathom (through thought; they were both mind-readers), this is revealed.

The Dangerous Gift focuses on the new IceWing queen, Snowfall. She became queen after the plague sent by Darkstalker killed Queen Glacier.

In book nine, Talons of Power, Darkstalker gives out powers to a few dragons, and in the next book he gives out even more. Mightyclaws had secretly wished for his power for a long time.

Runaway is the fourth story in the set and focuses on three dragons from two thousand years ago: Snowflake (an aristocrat), Prince Arctic, and Foeslayer.

Each arc has five books, and, with this being book eleven, it starts the third arc and sets the scene for the rest of the books.

After Sundew gave the dragonet a dried mango, Bumblebee was noted to have given Sundew “a worshipful look” and called Sundew “Snudoo.”

In the first book, The Dragonet Prophecy, this is revealed when Clay grabs Peril to try to hide her from Queen Scarlet. Scarlet then tells Clay about this power.

Throughout the third arc, Luna and Blue are both referred to as flamesilks. They both can produce fiery silk, which is where the name comes from.

In book two, The Lost Heir, while the dragonets escape the attack on the Summer Palace, Blister stabs Webs in the tail. The dragonets take him to the Rainforest Kingdom to see the healers there.
