In most parts of the world, "soccer" is known as football.

True.

correct but most countries call their most popular sport(if its ball related) football so soccer is just clarification. e.g I'm from Australia and I call Australian Rules Football, Football or Footy. Also many people in Australia where Rugby is more popular call that football.

In Tonga is Rugby Union the national sport

Would be better if there was the yellow box because all you have to do is just name random sports.

Why is "football" not good enough for Gaelic football, as it is for American football and Australian football?

its called football not soccer

I would say football (as meaning soccer), and have American Football, Australian Football and Gaelic Football, also differentiate between ice hockey and field hockey.

I forgot the American word for football during the quiz, can you just accept football. Why should American football get priority for the name when it's only played in 1 country.

several of these answers are wrong and need to be updated. Austria, Laos, and Cambodia's most popular sport is soccer not skiing for austria or kick boxing for the other two, also the most popular sport in estonia is basketball not skiing. This may have been the case in 2017 but not so in 2022

I enjoyed taking this quiz! I wound up missing two. I did a nice face palm on China's, but there was no way I would have gotten Ireland's with the qualifier.

I wrote "Australian Football" twice and had it rejected, so I stopped trying anything in that direction. If "American Football" and "Gaelic Football" were accepted for USA and Ireland, why insist on "Australian Rules Football" for Australia?
