Some of the answers require first and last name, you should change this to just last name, or just make it consistent. A bit frustrating when Samuel Chase didn't show up, but when I typed in the first and last it worked. Same thing with some of the earlier justices.
I got a 72 on this quiz as an American politics nerd, and yet it's worth 4/5 points after 5,338 takes on it. To any cheaters who are reading this, please go do something better with your life.
(Yes, of course, this frustration applies to a gazillion other quizzes and quiztakers who are robbed out of hard-earned points but still. I know this wave of cheaters should eventually subside a bit.)
Who among us does not think frequently of Samuel Blatchford--the Justice appointed by Arthur who founded the firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, made a fortune by selling all his stock on the eve of the Civil War, and was an expert on Admiralty law? Why just the other day . . . .
That was one I couldn't think of... I'm sure they thought of his appointment of Horace Gray, a supporter of court precedent, throughout his judicial career as well. Seems logical.
Three months later and I've finally learned them all. Just one note: the order of the answers for George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton's appointments are mixed up. The 1991 clue should be above the two ones for Clinton, and below the 1990 clue. Thanks!
If not, it's fine.
