I know about the Grimsey Island of Iceland which lies to the above of the Arctic Circle but it's too small to be visible by the naked eyes on a large map like this one and so I'm excluding it.

Since I won't be including Grimsey Island so there's no question about Kolbeinsey Island which only remains visible in low tides. For more information please refer to the Wikipedia article of Kolbeinsey Island.

Actually you missed iceland, which owns an island, which the arctic circle cuts through:

This is why I always say to read the caveats before nitpicking

But what is the motivation for randomly excluding one country from this list?

Level 61

Grimsey Island is very small to be noticeable

A small part of the mainland of Iceland also extends north of the Arctic circle, at both the northwest and the northeast.

I'm afraid this is not true, but the caveat does not exclude Kolbeinsey, a remote rock 66 km north of Grímsey that belongs to Iceland and is heavily affected by erosion. So Iceland should still appear on the list. Why was it even excluded? Part of it lies north of the Arctic Circle and it belongs to the Arctic Council.

Yeah but there's the whole is it habitable thing...

Idk how it being habitable or not have anything to do with it being a country and being within the arctic circle.

Now we just need the antarctic equivalent. (Yes, I am aware that there are no countries within it.)

I'd probably still only earn 3 of 5 points on that one.

What about Kolbeinsey? I'd suggest adding it to the caveats so that people being pedantic don't ruin the comments

just put in an arrow to show Grimsey island. One of the things I like about jetpunk is that it takes into account the smallest oddities.

Iceland is still in the Arctic Circle. Tom Scott proved it a few weeks ago.

It's not fair! Why does the US find a way to be in every quiz?? And only a small part of the country is in the Arctic Circle!

Yeah really. Don't you hate it when the US shows up in a quiz about countries invaded by the Soviet Union or on a quiz about the largest objects in the solar system? So annoying.
