Could you please please tell me how you made this map??? I'm trying to make a similar quiz with the Chicago CTA and it's really tough... I'd just love any input on how to make this type of quiz. Thanks!! :)
Hey, I hadn't made any SVG quizzes till now. Would you please help? I asked for help from you because you are an Indian. So, we can easily understand each other. By the way, do you understand Hindi as you are a Bengali? I live in Delhi and has started JetPunk in November last year. I am of 13 presently.
The required answers seem pretty inconsistent about whether things like "th" are needed after numbers; it seems to be required for some stations and forbidden for others.
Same with spelling out street, avenue, boulevard, etc. and 1st vs First, etc., -- very inconsistent.
It would also be nice if this was a bit more forgiving with the stations with combination names. There were many where I remembered one or two of the elements, but couldn't get them exactly right. Landmarks like Bryant Park or Yankee Stadium should be good enough on their own.
Interesting quiz, but needs more type-ins. I tried every combination of 1st/2nd/3rd St/Ave, and it accepted everything beyond about 45th St, but nothing below that and none of the Avenues. It seemed like for some stations, I would've needed to type out "Street" and "Avenue," rather than just the abbreviations "St" and "Ave." I would nominate this quiz if the type-ins were fixed. You should receive credit for abbreviating St. or Ave., as well as for spelling out the numbers or typing them in numerical format.
Many inconsistencies remain. Some answer accepts "st" while some needs "street" to be typed out. Why do some stations need the full name, like 81st Street–Museum of Natural History, can it be either one or the other?
Thanks for your feedback. The biggest update is awaiting for the later half of the 2021. A lot of changes with a new map including new features and design and a lot of Type-ins.
Thanks for the great quiz! I have to suggest that there is still a lot of improvements to be made in the type-ins. For example, "Coney Island - Stillwell Avenue" currently requires the entire type-in. It would be more JetPunk-like to accept either "Coney Island" or "Stillwell."
Great work; I didn't know any stations, but managed to get over the average just by guessing street numbers (255th Street, I could kiss you) and places I know. Forgot about Wall St, Broad St and Coney Island though.
awesome quiz, but the inconsistent type-ins are a real doozy. also just my opinion here, but for stops where it's the only stop with that name, the name should be good enough without having to type street, road, lane, etc. after it.
Could be a cool quiz, but the type ins need to be updated for sure. Really no need for -st, -nd, -rd, or -th to be included or for street, avenue, or boulevard etc unless there are multiple stations using the same name where only the road type distinguishes them.
Aside from the inconsistences of spelling the station names, and some are just wrong, it is also out of date, given the second avenue line stations have been in service since 2017.
I decided to start with my own station, 207 on the A, and couldn't figure out how to get it to work--it gave me the 1 train but not the A. I guess I needed to write Inwood. This must have been monumental to make, but I'm looking forward for the update with all the type ins. Thanks!
Great Job :D
(You're one of my favourite quizmakers ;D)
First make the map and then put the path IDs of the respective station in the respective station answer.
Copy a featured copy like this and you will understand everything ;)
It would also be nice if this was a bit more forgiving with the stations with combination names. There were many where I remembered one or two of the elements, but couldn't get them exactly right. Landmarks like Bryant Park or Yankee Stadium should be good enough on their own.
We appreciate your patience (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
But thanks again for making it!
As others have noted, the quiz is a bit unforgiving on formats.
Thanks for making it!
