"Strait" and "Lithuania" are misspelt. "(The) Chamber of Secrets" should probably work with or without the "of" (currently only works without it).

Cool quiz 👍🏻

I didn't recognise The Sorcerer's Stone as the first book in the series though - I've never seen that title before!

It's the US title for The Philosopher's Stone.
+32
Level 69
Jun 23, 2021
I think it should be changed to philosopher's stone as that is the official title of the book

Agreed. I haven't ever read it but it seems strange not to use the original name of the book

Yes, at the very least put the original title as well as the US one.

Or give us "Chamber of Secrets" and "Goblet of Fire", and make us guess "Prizoner of Azkhaban". (Or any other combination of the seven.)

Yes. Its a well known thing. They are the letters of the Greek alphabet most commonly used to name University sororities and fraternities. They are also widely used in mathematics, science, engineering, etc

The complete alphabet is: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, eta, theta, iota, kappa, lambda, mu, nu, xi, omicron, pi, rho, sigma, tau, upsilon, phi, chi, psi, omega

To write Greek, not to speak it!

I got it just by guessing the letters one by one.

I guess I'll take your word for it, but a quick google search of those three didn't turn up anything other than that particular Greek organization. Also, surely pi and theta and others are very common in math and related disciplines as well?

I don't think the claim is that the specific triple of Delta+Epsilon+Zeta refers to anything particularly well known.

Rather just that those are the order that those three appear in the alphabet. So given δ and ζ, the one that comes sequentially between them (i.e.: "in the middle") is ε.

Like in the Latin alphabet, if one were given D and F, then the one in the middle would have to be E, because that's the sequence. Not because the triple D+E+F necessarily refers to anything particular in isolation.

Yeah, but the location of Latvia and Nicaragua are global facts. The lettuce thing must be some cultural thing because I still have no idea what the order bacon-lettuce-tomato represents. Never eaten those three things at the same time (unless perhaps in a hamburger).

I kept trying "salad" instead of "lettuce", because I knew what is in this kind of sandwich, but english's not my first language and "salade" is way more current than "laitue" in french

I always heard it as "hear no, see no, speak no evil," which is still different than the quiz's order, but it's apparent from the question what the answer should be, so I think it's all good.
