Can you name the 100 greatest NHL players of all time? The first 33, who played predominantly during the NHL's first half century, from 1917-1966, were named on Jan. 1, 2017 at the Centennial Classic in Toronto. The remaining 67, who played predominantly from 1967-present, were introduced at NHL100 on Jan. 27, 2017 in Los Angeles.
Why is this quiz not eligible for points? It's an official list from the NHL. The NBA and MLB versions are eligible, and those are only lists from ESPN!
Toews captained the Hawks to a cup 3 times in an era where dynasties don't really exist. The list was decided by the NHL. I agree Hawerchuk should be on here
winning cups is irrelevant to a players talent since its a team award. patrick maroon won 3 consecutive cups and appeared in 4 consecutive finals in an era where dynasties dont supposedly occur. put him on the updated list...i understand toews is not maroon, and he has had a solid career, but he isnt an offensive dynamo and his career high is 81 points. the list came out in 2017 so obviously a lot of recency bias went into it but toews didnt deserve to be on the list then and he sure doesnt now 7 years later.
Sidney Crosby - only one 'y' in Sidney
Sergei Fedorov - two 'o's and one 'e' in Fedorov
I would nominate this quiz, once typos were fixed.
