I got a few just guessing common English names. I think the famous signers are only Franklin, Adams, Adams, (Lightfoot) Lee, Jefferson, and of course Hancock. I think I've heard of Rutledge and a few others before but they're far from famous.

The only reason Richard Lee is higher than Francis Lightfoot in the results is because people were guessing Patrick Henry...

and Smith is because 36% just randomly guessed "Smith" hoping to get lucky

jefferson, both adams, richard henry lee, hancock, and franklin are the famous ones. People more familiar with the foundation of our country should be familiar with robert morris, james wilson, charles carroll, samuel chase, elbridge gerry, and perhaps oliver wolcott as well. You've heard of (john) rutledge before because he was the third chief justice of the supreme court (for less than a year, but that's beside the point.)

Didn't do very well. I'll try again after I watch "1776" this week - my annual celebration. ;)
