I count 22 players on that list that played in New York (either the Yankees or the Mets).

There's more than that. I counted 28. And I may have missed a couple as well. meaning that well over half of this list has played in New York at some point in their career. Wow.

A-Roid, Jeter, Johnson, Sheffield, Rivera, Clemens, Beltran, Delgado, Martinez, Suzuki, Mussina, Giambi, Brown, Santana, Glavine, Pettitte, Hampton, Abreu, Sabathia, Ivan Rodriguez, Soriano, Texiera, Piazza, Posada, Berkman, and Damon gave me 26.

There you have it. Pudge and Berkman never played home games in NY.

Berkman played 37 games with the Yankees and Pudge 33 games....I'm pretty sure a few of those were home games.

Is it just me, or are Todd Helton and Jim Thome the most integral baseball trivia answers ever? They are near the top of every list, but somehow they just don't spring to mind as quickly as their peers.

I'd agree with that. Good quiz. 22/50, which is apparently pretty good.

Both players benefited from the tiny strike zone of the "steroid era" and Helton from the thin air of Denver. They have all-time great stats, but aren't really all-time great players.

what do you mean ? Jim Thome is one of the best natural hitters and was clean, much like Griffey Jr who was also clean and talented.

I know this is a controversial opinion, but I think that smaller parks, the tiny strike zone, and possibly the ball were the cause of the "steroid" era. Certainly, steroids enabled certain older players to stay at their peak longer, but were, in my opinion, a smaller factor than is commonly believed.

No one's reading, but eight years later, I'm feeling pretty vindicated. Today, there is a much greater awareness of the ball, and how it effects the number of home runs.

They finally got rid of the juiced ball after 2019.

Should add Joe Mauer to this list, looks like he crossed the threshold this season at ~$126M.

Wow I got in the 46th percentile even though I got bored and gave up halfway through and was mostly just guessing random names. But I did know three of the top four.

Can this be updated? There's a few that have jumped to the front of this list like Kershaw and Stanton. Thanks.
