Agree - another 30 or so seconds would be nice. A bit frustrating when you're answering consistently and then it abruptly stops. I don't see why this needs to be a sprint.
Very enjoyable idea though, great work.
Edit: using keyboard shortcuts made it a lot easier actually, should've done that first... Maybe it's OK as it is.
Absolutely needs to be more time, especially since you can't zoom the map to determine which county's capital is being targeted. Great idea, but needs the zoom feature and more time, IMO.
this is one of most confusing quizzes I have ever tried. there needs to be more explanation of how you are to interact with the colors of the dots. a key would have been helpful stating the countries that are colored in blue is what you are trying to guess. also placement of dots is hard to see unless you zoom. I spent the whole time trying to figure it out to no avail and I am not a dummy haha! otherwise its a good idea for a quiz I just need help understanding how it works. second time I was able to do it but still had issues with how small map is and placement of dots. needs improvement in my opinion.
Wardo, as a level 79 it is almost impossible you have never come across a "Click Map" quiz such as this (there are over 80 featured in English). So I think it's pretty clear what's going on.
do yall not have brains, every guess there are different blue dots and casually every blue dots have same capitals as the other ones. Like Warsaw, Windhoek, Wellington, Washington D.C.
this is fun, but would it be possible to be able to zoom in on the map? I couldn't tell which country the capitals were in sometimes with Europe/Caribbean countries in particular
How do you zoom in? I tried to figure out the one in the center of Europe where no other country shares the letter. It's hidden within a lot of other dots.
OK I figured out the Zoom, it helps a little bit toward the end. I did skip a lot of cities if they had only a few others, then the most common letters were eliminated and I was able to finish just fine.
A zoom function would help as well. Some of the European capitals become hard to differentiate when the dots stay on the screen, especially as there are so many countries in such a (relatively) small area in Europe.
Am I being dim, small child induced lack of sleep makes it a distinct possibility, or is there no way to select where the map zooms in on? It just picks a random answer for the various letter?
To be fair, I do think it takes away a lot of the fun from the quiz, since it's no longer challenging - 23% of people were already able to get all answers right on first try, and the average was 16/24.
As far as I'm concerned I get it done in 45 seconds on a PC and 70 on mobile, and it seems to be the same for many people. Though I'm aware that many complained in the comments, I don't think this one is worse than most time-based quizzes.
So yeah, the short time was intended. I won't submit changes because you have the last word but if you want to put it back to 2 minutes I think it'd be better.
On mobile there was just enough time and I even had to scroll a bit left and right. If you know the capitals and their locations in the country, there's really no need to see if Zagreb dot is in Slovenia or Croatia for example.
Why doesn't the map zoom in and out. When there are multiple capitals in a small area (the former Yugoslavia for example) you can't tell whether it's Skopje or Chisinau.
I was worried about getting the Zagreb one correct as zooming in is not possible. I left it as last and saw that Z was the only one left, that made it much easier :)
This quiz follows the standards of "click map" quizzes. Those once had targeted zoom, but many people complained about it because it would always zoom in when people were trying to select a country. I can only use the in-built zoom feature.
What a fantastic idea for a quiz. And I got 24/24, which makes it even better. it was the V, Y and Z that needed particular car and attention.
Note: I've just read the comments, and I would not have scored 24/24 in 2 minutes. I took just over 3 minutes, but I was taking my time, and watching the clock.
The trick here is to look at capitals of the bigger countries or countries that don't have a neighboring capital in the vicinity. That means, avoid Europe and Western Africa unless it can't be avoided (e.g. Z).
is this in a random order or is this just me? i literally got all of them in the exact abc order. idk if i am just extremely lucky or it's supposed to be like that
An annoying thing that I think no one mentioned is the need to scroll the letters before clicking. Since the quiz is quite tight in time it makes the difference.
Suggestion: just place them in 2/3 columns, if it is possible.
Thanks!

- You can already zoom in, it zooms on a random dot though. It's in-built so I can't really control it.
- Liechtenstein or Austria? Both are V :p

I would suggest removing the dots after you get the answer right or wrong though. That would make it easier to see.
