I thought about trying defunct countries when I was entering "Czech Republic," but Czech Republic turned out being right and then my brain didn't come back to the idea after that. Thus I missed the 3 non-existent countries and Ivory Coast. Seeing as how the cut-off for inclusion in this quiz is ONE Oscar... it seems like you could excise the word "most" from the title, right?

Good point. After the Oscars for this year take place I will change the title to properly reflect the data in the quiz. Also, I will place a note at the top that some answers are now defunct countries.

Thank you for taking the quiz!

2 years later I took this again. I got the defunct countries this time, but missed Algeria. and... I failed to get Ivory Coast for a second time.

It looks like they're organised by number of wins but Austria is totally misplaced and it takes on my nerves

Got them all, as I'm working on watching all of the foreign language nominees. Just needs an update to add Poland for winning for Ida (a very good movie, I might add).

And Chile is now new on the list (A Fantastic Woman).

And Mexico will finally appear on this list I hope. Also, Germany is just West Germany enlarged, it's the same country enlarged (Federal Republic of Germany).
