Further dumbing down of the populace. 'Asymmetric' is the best technical description but is harder to say and spell than 'uneven'. The definition of uneven is 'not level or smooth'. As both bars are clearly level and smooth, using uneven to describe them is wrong. Perhaps 'non-parallel' bars might be an alternate?
Even though I agree that I've always heard them called uneven bars, I also agree with you that it makes them sound like they were installed improperly or something. Like, "Darn, someone did a bad job putting up those gymnastics bars; they're totally uneven. Oh well, just do your best."
Freehand is not in the olympics- neither is rope, so this quiz is probably just out of date. But the creator was correct not to include freehand. I am a rhythmic gymnast myself. :)
I see that only 51% of people who have taken this test have gotten "horizontal bar" right. I am guessing that most of those who didn't get it right merely typed "high bar". I might have, too, if I hadn't done the work on Wikipedia, relating to the sport, that I have.
and what the hell is the pommell horse
