I can't believe I was spelling Charley Pride as Charlie Pride. >.< I was getting so frustrated that he wasn't on this list. But sure enough, he is!

I did the same thing - also missed Porter Wagoner when I typed Waggoner, and I typed Shephard and Shepherd. I thought I typed Trisha Yearwood, but must have spelled it wrong, too. I could have used more time on this one. So many great ones I missed. Next time I'll only type last names.

How was this list compiled? On what planet is Boxcar Willie bigger than Webb Pierce? How does Gillian Welch make the list at all? She has never had a country hit.

Tough quiz for me. So many of these performers were the pioneers of country music and my knowledge is from the 80s onward. But I got 16 of the top 20 and I scored 44/100 overall. More time would have helped on a list of 100 names. Thanks for the quiz!
