I know that you wouldn't exactly say "pitch piano" but I kept thinking that it would be Baseball Pitch Piano, and didn't come up with player... Maybe a sport that doesn't involve "pitches" would be helpful for that one... :)
A player piano is a self-playing piano. It's the one that has what looks like a scroll in it, in the place where you would normally sit your sheet music. If you just google player piano it will bring up lots of pictures.
I was wondering what Clint _____ Board was, so I tried white-didn't work, so then I just guessed the opposite, which is black, and when it was over, I noticed that only 22% of the people got it right. It made my day:) But I only got 23/30, so I didn't do the best on it.
For "Dish ____ Fall" could you also accept "pit" in a restaurant the dish area is often reffered to as the "dish pit" and "pit fall" is a fairly common term also
Clint Black I'll admit relies on pop culture knowledge, but a player piano is a bit of history miscellanea that you just need to know. No one gets a free ride on that one.
Thanks. I'm not sure if this is targeted for an American quiz audience, and whether that is worth mentioning. I am not familiar with many of these phrases, as they seem specific to American English. For example, Stone Mountain seems to be a place in America. Pay dirt is a North American saying that I hadn't heard before. What is a Clint Black? Still, a fun quiz, and I did fairly well.
