I guess this must be based on highest gross? Because I'm pretty sure All Quiet on the Western Front is generally better regarded than that turd Pearl Harbor. Hell, the Pokemon movie is generally better regarded than Pearl Harbor. But here it's #2.
Yeah, I've seen alot worse films than Pearl Harbour. U-571 is the real turkey here. And more historically inaccurate even than Inglorious Basterds (which is meant to be that way.) My 2 issues with the quiz are 1: I really think you need to say what the criteria is. I.e. highest grossing. 2: The oldest movie here is 1998. The eagle has landed, then longest day, bridge on the river quai... and... of course lawrence of arabia - by far the best WWII film of them all.
Once again, from now on I will be sure to say what the quizzes are clearly about. And just on a random side note, I've only seen 4 World War II movies and all of them are from this list. To me, "The Pianist" is the best one and then after that it's "Saving Private Ryan".
Kalbahamut, I am very pleased to point out to you that "All Quiet on the Western Front" could never appear on this list--it's a World War I movie. Ozchris, same with "Lawrence of Arabia."
I do agree with both of your other sentiments, though. The Longest Day, A Bridge Too Far, Tora! Tora! Tora!, etc. were better than all of these.
