Corrections: Rio de Janeiro has a typo, missing the i. Also most measures either have Tokyo or Guangzhou as the most populated city, what source did you use?
It is really hard to start guessing which might be the 5th most populated city in the USA in your list because the sources vary greatly. Same goes for the most populated city in the world, never heard it being Shanghai before.
Thank you for informing me about my errors! I have fixed the Rio de Janeiro error and corrected Guangzhou because my book was outdated. Sorry for the inconvenience, this is my first quiz on JetPunk. I am going to make another soon! Hope you like it!!! National Geographic's Daily quiz is the source for Phoenix being #5 in the USA
If you took this quiz early in its "lifespan" it had some errors... and i apologize for this... However, they've been fixed as far as I can see and i hope you guys agree!
For the future, JetPunk uses three different measurements for any city population : City Proper, Metropolitan Area and Urban Area. Basically same as Wikipedia does and their ranking goes as :
City Proper - Karachi with 27,5 million people
Metropolitan area . Chongqing with 52 million people
Urban Area - Tokyo with 37 million people
Now Quizmaster prefers different sources with the same idea, like www.citypopulation.de, but that site is too confusing for me. Anyway, it's always nice to let people to know which kind of measurement you are calling for.
