All First-Level Subdivisions of Asia by Proximity on a Map
There are 1011 first-level administrative divisions on the continent of Asia. To turn one green, name any subdivision within 500km (310.7mi) of its borders.
Thanks to user Vicky for creating the map and to user Stewart for lowering the file size!
Only including inhabited subdivisions One area (marked in blue) has to be typed! One subdivision triggers 162 answers! Uses the full land area of each subdivision! This quiz can be slow due to the many type-ins.
You see, our first level subdivisions are regions. The name of a region in the Philippines is an acronym of the subdivisions the region makes up. For example, Rehiyon IV-A (Region 4-A) is called CALABARZON. CA-vite, LA-guna, BA-tangas, R-izal, and Que-ZON.
Great quiz, but it would be nice to have a slower version with a smaller radius. Right now you can get above median pretty much just by naming Asian capitals.
Even with the capital naming method I wasn't able to get through it all in the time alotted, but I could do with a greater challenge so I agree on both counts. Quiz needs to be longer and have a smaller radius for guessed answers.
