I know you say the synonyms aren't exact... but 'conservatory' for 'garden' seems too much of a stretch to me? (I accept that my limited knowledge of Beatles songs is the main reason I didn't get this). Good quiz regardless :)
Awesome quiz! But of course for your commentary on having been inspired by others’ previous quizzes, you really should have said, “I Make Do With a Small Amount of Assistance from My Companions”. ;-)
I only missed the songs I don't know - I've probably heard them at some point but didn't know the titles. Was also 'fooled' by dummy, I was thinking mannequin or pacifier
Yes the only one I missed was Fixing a Hole. I've never heard of it, and I even thought it but didn't try it as it seemed too improbable for a Beatles song to be named that :P I'm listening to the song now..,
I love these kinds of quizzes. My only gripes are using "Cent" instead of British currency, and using oak for Norwegian Wood, which is a reference to pine.
Great quiz! Love your sense of humour. Appendage and Writhe and Scream had me howling. At first I thought Hither, Thither and All About was Helter Skelter.
There might be better ones, I can only think of specific (parts of) gardens though, like flowerbed or orchard.
ANything but conservatory would do ;) (as long as it is green an outside and not a building)
For some reason "(This Dove Has Launched)" really cracked me up! Well done!
“Oh what joy
For every girl and boy
Knowing they're happy
And they're safe”
The writhe and scream clue won't accept "&" in the answer where it is allowed in other "and" clues.
"Enchanted Enigma Excursion" is genius.
Fun quiz! Thanks!
Thanks!!
