Fire and Ice: Countries with Active/Dormant Volcanoes and Glaciers
List the countries that contain both volcanoes and glaciers.
Overseas territories are included in this quiz, though Antarctic claims are not. Countries that are only on the list due to overseas territories are marked with an asterisk
For the purposes of this quiz, a "dormant" volcano is one that has erupted in the last 100,000 years, and is believed to be capable of erupting in the future
This should be pretty similar to a quiz of "Countries containing Glaciers". The only real differences are a handful of countries in Europe, most of the central asian "stans", Nepal/Bhutan and Venezuela.
Given that mountains tend to be cold, and volcanoes tend to be mountains, this should not be that surprising.
However, countries do not have to have volcanoes and glaciers in the same place, to be in this quiz. For example, Germany is on the quiz due to the Eifel Volcanic Belt in central Germany, a range of low hills, while its glaciers are all in the Bavarian Alps far to the south of the Eifel.
