In Italian domestic football, the three major annual honours are the national championship (since the 1929-30 season, the national championship has been contested in the highest division of professional football, Serie A), the Coppa Italia and a supercup, the Supercoppa Italiana. Due to disagreements between the FIGC (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio or the 'Italian Football Federation') and a number of clubs, the 1921-22 league season featured two competitions: one governed by the FIGC and another governed by the newly-created (and short-lived) CCI (Confederazione Calcistica Italiana of the 'Italian Football Confederation'). This resulted in two 'champions' for that season.
*The league season was disrupted in 1944 due to the Second World War. Spezia were awarded an 'honorary title' by the FIGC in 2002 due to the league having finished with Spezia's satellite club, VV.FF. Spezia on top.
