Ikr? I had 194 on the countries of the world quiz a few days ago (I keep forgetting Gambia for some reason xD and the other one I can't even remember forgetting... Possibly a Caribic island), but it does make the others easier indeed xD
Maldives threw me for a while. I was straining to think of a Southeast Asian country I'd forgotten. I knew Singapore was about 1 degree north, I wondered if some outlying island of Malaysia or the Philippines dipped below. With Malaysia running south of Brunei, there was no chance it made it if Malaysia didn't.
I missed Samoa, which is fine, but I also missed South Africa. I'm speechless. I went through the trouble of naming out lesotho but didn't remember south africa. Ugggh
France has five overseas departments (they are the French Equivalent of States/Provinces) and two of them (Reunion and Mayotte) are in the southern hemisphere.
Yes, and they're not overseas territory like the Falklands are for the UK, but they are actual France. If a southern rock counts for Sao Tome, two much larger rocks should count for France.
Mayotte (located between Madagascar and Mozambique) has been an integral part of France since March 31, 2011. Therefore France ought to be a correct answer in this quiz (in the Africa section).
Addu city, located on the southernmost atoll of the maldivian archipelago, is located at these coordinates : 00.6413°S 073.158°E. As you can see, it is below the equator.
Keep em comin!
