And I mean Dodoma something. Couldn't reply him for some reason.

You just have to click on the "Nominate" button. Although that's not possible on this quiz anymore, since it's already featured.

This isn't precisely the height of Ottoman terretorial expansion. I believe there was a point near the mid 16th century when parts of Iran and the caucasus as well as Yemen were part of the Empire. 1683 was its height in Europe, not as a whole.

Good point. The Greek and Armenian genocides, the Barbary slave trade, and how the Balkan wars of the 90's have ties to the Ottomans. Being the Ottoman empire then vs Turkey today doesn't change the fact that the people who committed these atrocities were Turks headquartered from their homeland. Their government needs to stop cowering behind this.

Bru, what greek genocide lmao? Even Turks laughing with their a** when people talk about Armenian one and now you just create another genocide out of nowhere.

gzx is completely right. It was a genocide of Christians in ottoman empire. Armernians, Greek and Assyrians suffered from it the most. If you don't know about it, read a little more than speak.

Just because either you don't know about it or you're in denial doesn't mean it didn't happen. Stop trying to rationalize and make excuses for their bad behaviour.

And yes they did commit genocide against the Greeks. Could it be that you're in denial because you're Turkish? And no, I'm not Greek or Armenian.

Nice but wrong quiz. This is not the largest extent of the Empire, Also Crimea is Ukraine, not Russia - an illegitimate unilateral seizure does not make it so. Yet you colour in the West Bank black - by the same standard you should be including it as part of Israel. It is incoherent to say Crimea is Russia but the Palestinian territories are not Israel.

not really. The weird shapes here are the result of natural landforms - seas, deserts, mountains, oceans... if these countries were gerrymandered they'd look a lot weirder than they do.

also... Democrats gerrymander, too. Though Republicans benefit more from it. And Democrats are the only ones proposing legislation to end it.

That's pretty presumptuous of you to claim that I made the Greek genocide up. I guess you just thought it was safe to assume that if you type Greek genocide on google nothing will come up because of your own Turkish cultural biases hey? Why are so many Turks including you so insecure about what your people have done that you have to lie, deflect, and look for excuses to rationalize the fact that they commited genocide?

Next time make sure you don't allow your emotions to overtake your sense of logic so you don't make stupid ignorant comments like that.

Nice try,

I really enjoy these "name that modern-day countries that were part of..." quizzes as it helps to see how far reaching such empires were. Probably because I can picture the current maps so it helps to place those into the boundaries of the empires. Anyway, thanks a lot and look forward to the next quiz.
