Can you name which geography-related item is highlighted on the map? Each answer corresponds to a quiz on JetPunk where it's guessed correctly a certain percentage of the time, from 100% to 1%.
Data taken from various quizzes - some have overlapping answers
Great quiz and I love the format, can’t wait to see more of the same. My only gripe: how could anybody possibly know from that dot on the map which particular district of Chongqing that was?
nice - I think a good variant would be one where the answers are 'connected' eg the last letter of an answer is the same as the first letter of the following answer
Super idea for a quiz! Was fairly solid down to around 35% (missed 4), and then the wheels really started coming off. Correct answers became a real collector's item after that for me.
cool! For Hechuan though, could some way be found of making it clearer what it's referring to? maybe provincial lines inside China? I know it's meant to be hard, but surely being good at pixel counting is a little much
I think the map positioning of Angeles in the Philippines is off quite a bit. I am familiar with that country's geography and I would have never guessed Angeles based on the location of the dot. Thanks. Otherwise, solid quiz!
I love the quiz as it's very challenging. You need to redraw Labrador though - it currently covers much of Quebec, which the Quebecois wouldn't thank you for!
The map was too zoomed in to do this on an iPhone and I had to scroll around to find the blue part for every answer. That made it very hard to get a good score… so I got a lousy score instead.
Spent ages attempting to repeatedly type Emilio Romagna without ever realising my spelling error. Thanks to this quiz I learnt how to spell this correctly today! Also tried Great Bear Lake over and over without ever getting the correct "other" Great Lake.
Randomly got Uttar Pradesh when I attempted typing the first two letters of Upper Doab. Very well constructed quiz. Happy to take 4 out of 5 because most of the last column I had never heard of.
Being rather old and slow, not very dextrous with the keyboard and sometimes having to peer to find the blue bits I would love to have a bit more time but realise that would take away the challenge for most Jetpunkers.
I retook the quiz starting halfway through just for fun but wonder if it would be possible to have a 'slow' version? You could put a lower points ceiling on it. I find this a problem with a lot of the longer quizzes.
Very fun quiz !!! I'd love more of that type, to learn more diverse things :) I do them with my mom, untimed, when we have coffee, and it's a great time. We learn a lot of new things, especially when they're more general like this and not timed/competition type of quizzes.
Both 'Pannonian Alps' and 'Transylvanian Alps' are very commonly used names for the Carpathian Mountains, certainly the former. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of Europeans who know where the Pannonian Alps are, but would have more trouble pointing to the right place on a map if you asked them about the same mountain range by the name 'Carpathian Mountains'.
I'm not an expert in this area, but the Pannonian Alps seems to actually be the basin in which the Carpathian Mountains are located. And the Transylvanian Alps are a mountain range located within the greater Carpathian Mountains.
Fabulous idea for a quiz; I thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you so much! If you do another one, might I suggest making the highlight blue slightly transparent? Particularly when the answer is a region? Sometimes I found it disorienting to lose reference info like coastlines, borders etc.
great quiz, only thing I take issue with is Hechuan - map is just too big for it to be clear what your asking for, and all the earlier answers indicated with dots on the map are cities, not small districts.
I actually got the 1% one right, and it's a crazy coincidence I did. So, I had a digital map of Nicaragua, but it was missing the city of Jinotega. I rudimentarily photoshopped it in, and so it was in my mind. But not only does the department share the name of the city, but I did this YESTERDAY! So yeah, I would've gotten 89% otherwise!
Bahahaha I only got Jinotega bc I've been to a town in Nicaragua called Jinotepe and when I looked at a map of Nicaraguan departments, Jinotega stuck out to me.
i got all of them until that city in iran where i began getting things wrong and the last thing i got right was the lake in kazakhstan which surprises me that it is that low
I actually counted, and on this quiz only 6 answers have higher percentages than the source and 3 have the same. Don't you people learn from your mistakes?
Great quiz. That last column was a procession of “WTF’s” from me. Even when I saw the answers to most of them, I was none the wiser.

Btw, great quiz!

Thanks anyway, very entertaining.
Thank you !
