There are no incorrect inclusions or exclusions of countries within this quiz. Before you make your comment, please check the Countries of the World Quiz to check how a country is spelt. It's Ivory Coast, not Côte d'Ivoire. It's Federated States of Micronesia, not Micronesia.
I think that if you are going to insist on Micronesia starting with an F (Federated States of Micronesia) then you should also properly use Cote D'Ivoire and Timor L'Este. I spent ages wondering what the I in Africa could be
I do find it amusing that it’s people of Level 70 and above that usually make these complaints. It’s fairly obvious from this that you’ve been a user of this site for a fair amount of time to be at that level, in which case it’s not as though you don’t know by now the conventions that Jetpunk adheres to with regards to country names. I sense, for most people making these comments, they’re just an opportunity for those people to show off how terribly, terribly clever they are.
It could also simply be that they don't agree with the name that is being is.
People that argue that palestine should be included in certain quizzes aren't doing it to show of they have heard of palestine either do they?
I know that is a different argument and is not about the name, but that is kind of the point in neither of the cases it is about showing off ( I don't see how that would work anyway, especially in cases where the name they "fight" for is more known or used than the one they want to be replaced.(If it is unclear, I mean saying côte d'ivore doesn't feel like showing of to me, since I have heard it more often it feels more natural than ivory coast. So it is more the opposite for me in some cases, people talking about ivory coast are sooner showing off (letting know they know the translation perhaps)
Ninja is trying to stay consistent with other JetPunk quizzes. There is no point using the JetPunk standard for 99% of quizzes then going for something quite different for the other 1%.
That’s easy, all you have to do is recognise it as an independent country. It really isn’t difficult, most of the rest of the world has done so and it didn’t hurt a bit. You’ll be fine.
Not just "official JetPunk" names, official full stop. F.S.M., along with both of the Congos are countries that don't have an official short name, like others do.
I nearly missed that but fortunately, I happened to be on a train. And due to chronic under-funding of the railway infrastructure it was very, very late. It had become a midnight train, one might say…
You forgot Rwanda! And You put Ivory Coast in when it is Cote D'Ivoire. The Cote D'Ivoire government says that there name shall not be called anything differently.
Our Quizmaster is proud of the fact that the government of Ivory Coast has convicted him, in absentia, for flouting their desires regarding their name! ;-)
The official names on JetPunk are Ivory Coast, East Timor, and Federated States of Micronesia.

The official name is Federated States of Micronesia
Also the UK has territory in every continent, which would render the other U answers rather silly.
Although now that I mention it, a version taking overseas territories into account could be interesting also...
I feel like it could use another minute.
I would suggest doing this without the clues, though. It would be harder, but more fun.
"The island of Timor has a name which means "East" in the Malay language. This means the country of East Timor is "East East". "
