Rolling Stone magazine made a list of what they consider to be the best songs of the decade from 2000-2009. Can you name the musical acts who recorded them?
So if you have any musical talent, aren't a hip-hop/pop "artist", or aren't the most mainstream, corporate sponsored puppet, then you get no recognition? Even if this were an accurate list, it would just go from being funny to sad.
This is actually one of the more impressive lists for me in terms of alternative with Daft Punk, M.I.A., Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, LCD Soundsystem, The Shins, Fleet Foxes
Dont think ive ever seen any of them on a quiz before, maybe daft punk
It is however astounding how little non-Anglophone music USA and UK listeners are exposed to, considering the reach of their own music in other countries.
Idk in other parts of the world, but in Spain we passed from pop/rock to reggaeton, rap and trap. For me, that was way worse than just "electronic pop", which wasn't even that bad.
I think I have a very different taste in music to the makers of this list. Though I must agree that All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem belongs on any list of greatest songs.
Dont think ive ever seen any of them on a quiz before, maybe daft punk

The UK are not the ones who should complain the most. 3 continents are not represented, and all songs are sung in English.
