Didn't expect Maine. Wikipedia: "Southern raiders triggered the Battle of Portland Harbor after seizing a revenue cutter and trying to escape to the ocean."

Yeah that one was a surprise to me, too. I was also a little surprised that Illinois didn't make the list.
