Actually, quite a few of these are not independent countries. Puerto Rico, to name just one, is a U.S. territory.

Surely if you include Honduras, then you should include all those other mainland countries that have islands in the Caribbean such as Belize or Venezuela.

Where do you get these numbers in the left hand column from? - Since when does Saint Martin have 8 islands or the (incorrectly named) Dutch Antilles, 25?
