Müsste Tarvisio bei NJ 233/235 und NJ 294/295 nicht so wie Villach verbunden sein, oder verstehe ich da was falsch?

Nein, da die Nightjets in dieser Station nicht zusammengekoppelt fahren. Villach ist jedoch eine verbundene Zelle, da die Nightjets dort neu "zusammengebaut" werden. Der hier nicht aufgelistete NJ 40233 fährt nämlich von Wien nach Rom und der NJ 40295 von München nach Mailand. Diese fahren jeweils vor Villach bei einem anderen Nightjet mit als danach. Der Nachtzug nach Rom fährt in Villach 39 Minuten vor dem Nachtzug nach Mailand ab und kommt daher in Tarvis deutlich früher an. Deswegen sind bei Tarvis die Zellen getrennt.

I went on a Nightjet a few years ago from Vienna to Zurich, with an upstairs compartment with ensuite bathroom and breakfast. Unfortunately I was so excited I didn't sleep a wink. Kind of defeated the point.

Those are really nice! I always ride in seating compartments to save money for future journeys.
