The Top 100 Influential Figures in American History
In 2006, The Atlantic published an article ranking the top figures in American history. Try to name them all, then indignantly protest this list in the comments section!
Got 49 including Gallup, Dewey, and Edwards. Only one I missed over 35% was LBJ. There is so much wrong with this list of course, but they do get a few things right, too. Funny that Kennedy makes the 100 most influential in all history list, but fails to make the top 100 most influential in American history. Also that Sanger makes this list while Pincus does not, though that's actually one of the things that they did right.
Ronald Reagan at #17 and Nixon at #99? - Please!!!
Nixon did infinitely more for the image of this country than that "B" actor. Watergate was a great faux pas, but please don't let it cloud your judgment of his accomplishments.
